Frantisek Drtikol

Drtikol

Czech photographer Frantisek Drtikol (1883-1961) achieved worldwide fame during the first half of the twentieth century for his striking modernist style, a mixture of elements from Art Nouveau, German Expressionism, and Cubism. His primary area of photographic work was the female nude, done mainly in the 1930s.
